Money from Uncle Sam for employee training

Many small businesses don’t realize that there is government grant money available for training employees and helping them to develop work skills.  There are also a variety of interesting economic development tax incentives that small businesses may be eligible for.  The Wall Street Journal’s article “How to Get Government Grants for Training” provides a cursory overview.  Following are a few other resources (Sorry to those of you who don’t reside in Oregon that two out of three of these are Oregon-centric, but if you do a quick google search I’m certain you will find similar programs in your state).
